51st Session of Commission on Status of Women,

International Health awareness was awarded the privilege of making an oral presentation
on February 27th afternoon session which was held in conference Room 2
at the United Nations secretariat in New York. The issues of concern and activities of IHAn were

1. The importance of Nutrition of the girl child from preconception through the life cycle

2. The role of Education of the girl child and transformation of their lives from poverty to a dignified living.

3. Socioeconomic empowerment of women and its role in nation building and development. (the full text of the statement is available)



IHAN held a panel discussion on march first from 12 noon to 1.45 Pm at the Harding room of the Church Center,777 Un Plaza,
