On Monday, November 14th, 2011, Dr. Sorosh Roshan spoke on a panel to a full auditorium held by the Light Millennium on Millennium Developmental Goal 3 at Stevens Institute of Technology alongside Ambassador Kohona and other esteemed colleagues. The evening was entitled: "Gender Equality and Empowering Women: Minority Rights and Discrimination."

The 64th Annual Department of Public Information/ Non-Governmental Organization Conference took place in Bonn, Germany from 3-5 September 2011. This year's theme was "Sustainable Societies: Responsive Citizens."
